NTA Examines Posts That Float on Social Media

In reaction to posts on social media about NEET (UG) 2024, Senior Director Dr. Sadhana Parashar issued a notification on May 6, 2024, following the test. This comment refers to the posts on social media about the May 5, 2024, NEET (UG) test. It appears from these posts that the test question was leaked prior to the exam. The National Testing Agency (NTA) offers the following details to applicants, their parents, teachers, and other relevant parties in order to dispel any confusion:

  1. On May 5, 2024, the NTA successfully administered the NEET (UG) 2024 test in 4750 centers in 571 cities, including 14 cities overseas.
As per NTA’s SOPs and security regulations, the social media posts that purport to show a document leak are wholly untrue.
  2. Each and every question paper has been tracked down. Furthermore, when the exam centers’ gates close, nobody from the outside is permitted into the CCTV-surveillance hallways.
  3. In an incident at a facility in Sawai Madhapur, Rajasthan, several students stole the question papers away against their will before the exam was over, according to a press statement from NTA on May 6. It is dishonest and deceptive to associate an image of this question paper with the purported paper leak. There is no possibility for any other person or group to enter the centers after the exam has started.
  4. There is no connection between the NEET 2024 question paper and any other images of question papers that are doing the rounds on social media.
  5. In spite of this, instances of impersonation and misconduct have occurred. Those who participate in these kinds of activities risk harsh penalties.
Additionally, NTA analyzes post-exam data to find instances of unfair methods (UFM).
  6. The existing regulations state that the revocation of candidacy and a restriction from taking further tests are among the remedies taken in UFM instances.
  7. Over 24 lakh students registered for NEET (UG) 2024, the biggest number ever, with over 10 lakh male students and over 13 lakh female students. The Northeast, Puducherry, Jammu & Kashmir, and other states were among the smaller cities that were chosen as hubs, which helped to support this rise.
